Monty Python and the Holy Grail was a huge success at the Bardavon last Friday. In fact, it was such a huge success that those of us arriving minutes before it was supposed to start had a shock. After going to Bardavon films for years, not only did Monty sell out, they opened up the balcony and that sold out as well. Clearly, Monty Python & the Holy Grail has achieved cult status, like Rocky Horror. Next time, people could bring killer rabbits, coconuts, cows to catapult and things like that. The lot of us ended up going to the Artist’s Palette instead and just quoting the film for several hours. Artist’s Palette, by the way, was quite tasty with pleasing landscapes to boot. Artist was Seth Thomas Balfe. The walls change frequently, so no guarantees that’s still up.

Steinhaus’s State of County address can be found at http://www.co.dutchess.ny.us/CountyGov/Departments/CountyExecutive/12110.htm as stated in his prepared remarks. It was an interesting contrast to “An Inconvenient Truth” an hour later. IES did a superb job and many thanks to Peter Groffman and Michael Pace for patiently answering such thoughtful questions.

Vassar College ModFest is underway. Neat events throughout the next week. Music, dance, lectures and art. Frankly, too much to retype. www.info.vassar.edu 437-7319.
