ABOUT VHV:
Concept & Development
Boosting businesses in the Hudson Valley
The VirtualHudsonValley project was initiated by Dean Temple and Alex Tuller, the principals of Millbrook-based multi-disciplinary design firm Drake Creative. Drake developed, owns and maintains this website. More information about Drake and its principals can be found here.
VHV, as we have come to call it, is about generating compelling virtual content about the Hudson Valley. While the initial phase of this project focuses solely on virtual tours, future sections of the website to come online will include fiction and non-fiction writing by local writers, work by local artists, lists of local events with strong relevance to the region’s history, people and commerce, and feature pieces on local people in the realms of business, agriculture and good works.
In this way VHV will serve both as a strong source of content for people interested in touring the region, and as an archive of people, places and events. It will also serve to highlight areas of interest and beauty that might otherwise be overlooked.
This initial phase of VHV takes a strong look at the city of Poughkeepsie. This dynamic city has enormous potential and a hardworking group of people looking to move it forward. In highlighting those areas that already stand out as exceptional places to visit, it is our hope that VHV will play a role in driving not just tourist traffic, but local traffic to these locations as well. In further highlighting some of her people, it is our hope to put a human face on this city for those who view it from afar.
We hope you enjoy touring VirtualHudsonValley.com and that you find it informative. If you have comments or questions, please feel free to contact us. If you would like to learn more about VHV or you are interested in becoming involved, please click here.
